Starting Friday, August 7, the 40s B division (10 teams) and Golden Boys division (4 teams) combine into a single 14-team division — the GIOCHI Friday Night 40s Silver Division — for the rest of the season. The goal: give every team more variety in opponents, more competitive games, and a real playoff bracket to chase.
The 14 teams are split into two groups of 7. Each group plays a full single round-robin — every team plays every other team in their group exactly once. Every group finisher from 1st to 4th advances to one of two knockout cups: the top 2 from each group enter the GIOCHI Super Cup, while 3rd and 4th place enter the GIOCHI Amici Cup. Both cups play Semifinals in Week 17 and their Finals in Week 18.
All 14 teams are ranked by their Round 1 performance (Weeks 1-9), using the standard tiebreaker order:
Points → Goal Difference → Goals For
Because 40s B and Golden Boys played different schedules and opponents, the point totals aren't perfectly comparable — but it's the most objective starting point available.
| Seed | Team | Division | Points | GD |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Rather than putting the top 7 in one group and the bottom 7 in another (which would be lopsided), a snake draft alternates picks each round to keep both groups roughly equal in strength.
Each group has one team out of group play every week — but nobody sits idle. The two resting teams (one per group) meet in that week's 🛡 Shield Cup crossover match, with every win counting toward their group's Shield tally (total goals decide a tied series). Every team plays exactly one Shield Cup match over the 7 rounds. Group matchups follow the standard round-robin rotation:
